Chevrolet Silverado: Keys and Locks / Automatic Door Locks
If equipped, the doors will lock automatically when all doors are closed, the
ignition is on, and the shift lever is moved out of P (Park).
If a vehicle door is unlocked and then opened and closed, the doors will lock
either when your foot is removed from the brake or the vehicle speed becomes faster
than 13 km/h (8 mph).
To unlock the doors:
Press
on a power door lock switch.
Shift the transmission into P (Park).
Automatic door locking cannot be disabled. Automatic door unlocking can be programmed.

If equipped, this feature delays the locking of the doors until five seconds
after all doors are closed.
Delayed locking can only be turned on when the Open Door Anti-Lockout feature
has been turned off...
If equipped, the ignition is on or in ACC/ACCESSORY and the power door lock switch
is pressed with the driver door open, all the doors will lock and only the driver
door will unlock...

Seat Belt Pretensioners
This vehicle has seat belt pretensioners for the front outboard occupants. Although
the seat belt pretensioners cannot be seen, they are part of the seat belt assembly.
They can help tighten the seat belts during the early stages of a moderate to severe
frontal, near frontal, or rear crash if the threshold conditions for pretensioner
activation are met...
Caution
The vehicle does not need an elaborate break-in. But it will perform better
in the long run if you follow these guidelines:
Keep the vehicle speed at 88 km/h (55 mph) or less for the first 805
km (500 mi).
Do not drive at any one constant speed, fast or slow, for the first
805 km (500 mi)...
