Chevrolet Silverado: Warning Lights, Gauges, and Indicators / Security Light

The security light should come on briefly as the engine is started. If it does
not come on, have the vehicle serviced by your dealer. If the system is working
normally, the indicator light turns off.
If the light stays on and the engine does not start, there could be a problem
with the theft-deterrent system. See Immobilizer Operation.
This light is near the fuel gauge and comes on briefly when the ignition is turned
on as a check to show it is working.
It also comes on when the fuel tank is low on fuel...
This light comes on when the high-beam headlamps are in use. See Headlamp High/Low-Beam
Changer.
IntelliBeam Light
This light comes on when the IntelliBeam system, if equipped, is enabled...
Other information:
If equipped, the ignition is on or in ACC/ACCESSORY and the power door lock switch
is pressed with the driver door open, all the doors will lock and only the driver
door will unlock.
If the vehicle is off and locking is requested while a door is open, when all
doors are closed the vehicle will check to the Keyless Access function (if equipped)...
This feature lets you use the high-beam headlamps to signal a driver in front
of you that you want to pass. It works even if the headlamps are in the automatic
position.
To use it, pull the turn signal lever toward you, then release it.
If the headlamps are in the automatic position or on low beam, the high-beam
headlamps will turn on...
