Chevrolet Silverado: Storage
This vehicle has airbags. A rear seat is a safer place to secure a forward-facing
child restraint. See Where to Put the Restraint.
In addition, the vehicle has a passenger sensing system which is designed to
turn off the front outboard passenger frontal airbag under certain conditions...
Warning
Do not store heavy or sharp objects in storage compartments. In a crash,
these objects may cause the cover to open and could result in injury...
Other information:
The Antilock Brake System (ABS) helps prevent a braking skid and maintain steering
while braking hard.
ABS performs a system check when the vehicle is first driven.
A momentary motor or clicking noise may be heard while this test is going on,
and the brake pedal may move slightly...
This warning light should come on briefly when the vehicle is turned on. If the
light does not come on, have it fixed so it will be ready to warn if there is a
problem.
If the light comes on while driving, safely stop as soon as it is possible and
turn off the vehicle...

Leaving children in a vehicle with the ignition key is dangerous and children
or others could be seriously injured or killed. They could operate the power windows
or other controls or make the vehicle move. The windows will function with the keys
in the ignition, and children or others could be caught in the path of a closing
window. Do not leave children in a vehicle with the ignition key.
